What is Joseph's Locker
Joseph's Locker provides assistance for people in need with food, clothing and various other necessities. Spiritual needs are always at the forefront of this ministry, we provide people with Bibles and other materials. Prayer for our clients is also a vital aspect of this outreach.

Joseph's Locker works closely with local churches and other relief agencies. We are a member agency of the Emergency Action Network of Hood County and also the Tarrant Area Food Bank.

If there is a poor man with you, one of your brothers, in any of your towns in your land which the Lord you God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand from your poor brother; but you shall freely open your hand to him, and shall generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks.

Deut. 15:7&8

In The Beginning
In 1990 Adell Scaling had a vision to begin the ministry of Joseph's Locker. This vision was to reach out to people in need within our community to provide some basic necessities, such as food, clothing, household supplies, and the most basic need of all, to know Jesus. As many people began to be touched by the love of Christ, God triggered a growth that has expanded the borders of Joseph's Locker from one room in her house to a 7,000 Square Foot warehouse.

Is this not the fast which I choose, To loosen the bonds of wickedness, To undo the bands of the yoke, And to let the oppressed go free, And break every yoke? Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry, And bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him...

Our Vision
As in the beginning, the vision of Joseph's Locker remains to reach out to the people in need within our community by providing them with basic necessities such as food, clothing and other household items. Our focus is to meet their spiritual need by demonstrating true compassion in providing for their physical needs.

For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.
